The EU-funded project DOUACTivism officially kicked-off during the first Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) held from January 25 to January 27, 2023 in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Representatives of the partnering organizations attended the meeting dedicated to discuss the various aspects of the project such as the roles and responsibilities, the communication plan as well as the calendar of events.

The TPM was inaugurated by the CEO of MasterPeace Global Aart Bos who provided an overview about:
- the overarching objectives, milestones and deliverables;
- how to sustain and scale our unique materials beyond this project as we are the first in the world to tailor the vision of Kate Raworth towards Youth Workers;
- the code of conduct we use to meet our ambitions on inclusive and diversity;
- how we can learn from each other and grow our personal competence, boost our portfolio;
- how we engage and connect with regional, national and international stakeholders and we as CSO’s take the role of “drivers of transformation.”

The introductory session was followed by a series of presentations pertaining to each and every partner’s tasks and deliverables.

The meeting concluded with an interactive presentation entitled “Effective Cross Cultural Team Collaboration and Communication” delivered by Marcella Bos, Certified trainer on Cross Cultural Communication.

DOUACT seeks “to boost the competence, capacity and recognition of CSOs (in the three partner countries as well as two EU countries) in a transnational coalition of CSOs by jointly learn, evaluate, develop and implement innovative NFE formats that support the ambition to engage, connect and empower youngsters - especially young women in rural areas - outside formal learning.”

The consortium is comprised of: MasterPeace Foundation – Netherlands, SIT - Center for Counseling, Social Services and Research – Kosovo, Ludbreska Udruga Mladih Entuzijasta (LUMEN) – Croatia, MasterPeace Morocco - Morocco and the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) – Lebanon.
