In the framework of MYSEA Project – ‘Mediterranean Youth, NEETs and Women Advancing Skills, Employment and Awareness in the Blue and Green Economy’ – a delegation from the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) visited Tunisia for a series of coordination meetings.
The commission, comprised of LDN President Amin Nehme, Secretary General Samer Aoun and Project Coordinator Rita Nassif, met respectively with the Executive Committees in charge of the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity (UTSS) and the Tunisian Section of the Development Information and Education Center (CIES, Italy).
The meeting at UTSS brought together representatives from the three organizations. It was designated to discuss the details pertaining to the various phases of the closing event of the Project expected to take place during the month of November 2023 in the Tunisian capital.
President of UTSS Mohamad Khouini opened the meeting with a welcome note. “We are delighted to have you among us. On behalf of the board and team members, we would like to extend our warmest wishes for a valuable partner like you,” he said.
Khouini praised the close collaboration and the genuine effort among LDN and the other parties to making the event one of its kind. “Your remarkable skills will be a great addition to the occasion, and we hope to have a successful implementation together,” he concluded.
The delegation met afterwards with the members of CIES in Tunisia headed by Viera Schioppetto. The ensuing discussion touched upon a number of issues related to the managerial and financial parts associated with the last stage of the project.
