In recognition of her commitment to defending women’s rights, the Executive Director of the Arab Women Center for Training and Research (CAWTAR) Dr. Soukeina Bouraoui was awarded the “2024 Future Women Award” during a ceremony held in Madrid, Spain.

Dr. Bouraoui was granted the award provided by the Spanish-French Friendship Association during a ceremony held in Madrid, an event which brought together a group of prominent women activists from various parts of the world.

In her speech, Bouraoui expressed her deep gratitude to the members of the Center’s Board of Trustees, led by the Tunisian Government and the Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), for the continued support of the “CAWTAR” Center and its programs in the Arab region and beyond.

Bouraoui is a professor of higher education in Tunisia with a long journey in advocating women’s rights and contributing to their advancement in society.
