On 17 August, the EU-funded Innovation Support Project, in partnership with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (Jedco), was presented in Jordan as part of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program in the Mediterranean.

With an aim to empower youth and women, the project provides grants for project proposals that support creative ideas surrounding capacity building to alleviate the problem of unemployment and support the economy in Jordan.

The participants reviewed the objectives and vision of the submitted projects and their role in creating job opportunities for young people in the Mediterranean region, supporting entrepreneurship and marketing their ideas.

The induction day included the signing of memoranda of understanding and cooperation between Jedco and some of these projects, with the aim of creating coherence and networking between projects and unifying and joining efforts to provide grants and job opportunities for youth and women.
