EU-funded project ‘MYSEA’ for Blue and Green Economy enters its final stages with an unprecedented momentum and meaningful results.

While maintaining the drive onward, the project’s partners have greatly invested in meeting the operational requirements by securing the action plan while keeping it on track.

Recognizing the distinct needs of the various social brackets, MYSEA seeks to benefit a wide array of beneficiaries such as young people (from 18 to 24 years old), NEETs (up to 30 years old), women (of all ages) with fewer career opportunities, business and non-governmental actors as well as TVET institutions involved in the agri-food and waste management industries.

It aims at building the capacity of a total of 1,000 participants – equally distributed through the five partnering countries. They are being provided with 300 hours of training on sector-based, digital and transversal skills. In addition, a group of 25 people from each country will be selected to carry on extensive training modules on Entrepreneurship.

The project’s communication plan constitutes the back bone of its visibility and outreach. It emphasizes the awareness-raising on the scope of activities, disseminating relative results and outcomes, extending its impact and engaging the various stakeholders.

National events will be organized in each and every partnering country to showcase the accomplishments on the local level. The final conference of the project will be held in Lebanon to celebrate its successful completion.

MYSEA is a 3.6 Million EURO project with six partners as follows: Development Information and Education Center (CIES) - Italy, University of Palermo - Department of Agricultural, Food and Forest Sciences – Italy, Eurotraining Educational Organization SA – Greece, Lebanese Development Network (LDN) – Lebanon, Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity (UTSS) – Tunisia and Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) – Jordan.

It is designated to increase the employability of youth, women and NEETs in the agri-food and waste management industries by developing training oriented to both sectors and strengthening local governance and sector-skills alliances between economic actors and TVET institutions to align the education curricula with the sectors’ needs.
