On the sidelines of the MYSEA Project Final Event which took place during the month of September at Le Royal Hotel in Beirut, the Tunisian Ambassador to Lebanon H.E. Bouraoui Limam, accompanied by the Minister Plenipotentiary H.E. Mustapha Al Assakiri, visited the participating delegations from Italy, Greece, Tunisia and Jordan.

Ambassador Limam was received by the head of the Tunisian Partner, the president of the Tunisian Union for Social Solidarity (UTSS), Mohamad Khouini, the president of the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) Amin Nehme, the Director of Sales and Marketing at le Royal Dalia Zgheib, as well as the Sales Executive Melissa Saadeh.

Afterwards, the group met with the members of the consortium during their Steering Committee session. Director of the International Cooperation Sector and Co-Development at the Lead Partner CIES ONLUS in Italy, Loredana Gionne, presented the general objectives and activities pertaining to the Project. LDN Secretary General Samer Aoun explained some details related to the conference’s framework and the input provided by the partners for its success.

In turn, Ambassador Limam stressed the importance and need for continued collaboration among the various partners in the Mediterranean by pointing out the key benefits of similar projects and the positive impact they bring on both the cultural and the socio-economic levels.

Limam touched upon the role that the embassy in Beirut plays in terms of strengthening the Tunisian-Lebanese relations in addition to some of the intended future plans.

The visit concluded with a special discussion with the Tunisian delegation which praised the initiative taken by the Ambassador to make this meeting happen.
