In an endeavor to enhance the collaboration for development on the regional and global levels, the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) joins the "International Federation for Sustainable Development and the Fight against Poverty in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea – FISPMED” in Italy.

Founded in 2004 with the support of the European Commission (DG Enlargement and DG Regional Policies) and of the Italian Minister of the Environment, FISPMED gives priority to environmental issues and those related to sustainable development, in line with numerous documents of an international nature.

It recognizes as well a series of sustainable priorities such as urban development, tourism, water management, agriculture, renewable energy, and sea and marine resources.

FISPMED is comprised of 229 members from 39 different countries belonging to Southern Europe and Northern Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Eastern Europe and the Black Sea, Mashreq, Maghreb and North Africa, Brazil and the United States.

FISPMED dedicates a particular effort to education and training to stimulate behavioral change and equip citizens with the necessary skills to achieve the objectives set by the 2030 strategy indicated by the United Nations.
