I am a graduate of the American University of Beirut with a BBA in Finance. For the past 4 years, I had been doing Mergers and Acquisitions ("M&A") advisory at GulfMerger in Kuwait. Since inception in 2007, GulfMerger has successfully advised on the largest number of M&A deals among any financial institution in the Middle-East, making it the leading middle-market M&A firm in the region by deal volume. GulfMerger has been recognized locally and internationally as the “Best M&A House in Kuwait in 2010 and 2008” by Euromoney and the “Best Global Up-and-Comer Investment Bank in 2010” by Global Finance. I had joined GulfMerger at inception as a financial analyst and I had assumed senior positions of increasing responsibilities as part of multiple promotions awarded on the basis of exemplary performance. I was also recognized as a fast-track member within the team. The last four years have given me a solid work experience in a very dynamic and challenging work environment in the Investment Banking and Financial Advisory fields. I had participated as a key member of the execution team on more than 15 regional transactions in the Equipment Leasing, Transportation and Logistics, Port Operations, Airline, Aircraft Leasing, Information and Communication Technology (“ICT”), Building Materials, Paints and Coatings, Media (Television, Newspaper) and Banking sectors exceeding USD800 million in aggregate value. In September 2011, I left GulfMerger and moved back to Lebanon. As part of my move back to Beirut, I am interested in exploring other (non-Investment Banking) career alternatives that would allow me to leverage the diverse exposure (sector-wise, responsibilities-wise) I have accumulated over the last four years and apply them in a corporate environment. In particular, I can be of value when it comes to feasibility studies and financial modeling , strategic market analysis and research for penetrating existing markets and/or expanding into new areas/geographic markets, evaluating the performance of existing businesses and drafting client pitches and corporate presentations.
