U-SOLVE project partners joined their efforts in the fourth meeting in Alexandria, Egypt to prepare for the upcoming activities as it gets ready to start working directly with the sub-grants’ applicants.

U-SOLVE team gave presentations of the initial results of Step 1 Call for the sub-grants in each country.

Participants also discussed strategies for the upcoming capacity building activities and how the 6 urban hubs will work together in cross-border activities relevant to each country’s thematic areas, particularly countries with common themes including waste management, blue infrastructure and urban transport planning.

The meeting concluded with an interactive workshop on how to set up a living lab, supporting partners’ vision in the implementation of U-SOLVE urban hubs.

U-SOLVE seeks to create a model of urban development based on innovative entrepreneurship, addressing sustainable development challenges, boosting urban business ecosystems and creating jobs in emerging social and environmental markets.

U-SOLVE partnership includes six different Mediterranean countries: Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, Palestine, Jordan and Italy.
