In the framework of enhancing effective partnership for the implementation of sustainable projects, the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Semente – Association for Cooperation to Sustainable Development, Portugal.

The MoU was respectively signed by Amin Nehme, President of LDN and Filipe Moreira, Chairman of Semente.

The agreement emphasizes the collaborative efforts of both Parties, within their respective mandates and approved work programs, to execute joint projects on the social, economic and environmental levels.

It seeks as well the implementation of other activities in areas of shared interests and common priorities.

Accordingly, LDN and Semente will strive to reach, to the best of their ability, the objectives of this MoU through improving the exchange of relevant information, ensuring necessary expertise and providing needed resources in order to achieve potential synergies.

The Lebanese Development Network (LDN) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to assist individuals, groups and organizations develop their capacities by raising awareness and enhancing technical skills so they can improve their potentials, advance their progress and ensure their growth. LDN works in the education, culture, economy, social and health fields through the various strategic levels of Capacity Building, Social Marketing and Networking Practices, and provides Training, Consultancy and Program Development services. It endeavors to promote new paradigms for SMEs, Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship in collaboration with both the public and private sectors, and works as well on promoting the culture of democracy, human rights, dialogue and citizenship.

Semente is a private and non-profit association based in Portugal and founded in 2019. The purpose of the Semente is the promotion, by itself or in collaboration with public or private entities, national or foreign, of human and environmental development in a paradigm of sustainability and also the management of national, European Union and co-financed programs.
