In an effort to promote Entrepreneurship in the Euro-Med zone, the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED) - Greece, a leading Center of Excellence in Europe and a fast-growing Digital Innovation Hub.
The agreement was respectively signed by the President of LDN Amin Nehme and the President of IED Dr. Anastasios Vasiliadis.
It aims at advancing bilateral ties and strengthening cooperation between both parties on the various levels of Social Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Leadership, Education and E-Inclusion.
It seeks as well to educate people and companies in the digital mentality, technology platforms and innovative digital, and connect them with entrepreneurial mindset as a driver of innovation tools to achieve digital transformation successfully.
Recognizing entrepreneurship as a crucial factor for sustainable development, the MoU emphasizes the significance of enhancing profitable innovative business models for startups, SMEs and companies in all industries, assisting their ecosystems in the different phases of their evolution, and improving gender equality and social integration of vulnerable groups.
The Lebanese Development Network (LDN) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to assist individuals, groups and organizations develop their capacities by raising awareness and enhancing technical skills so they can improve their potentials, advance their progress and ensure their growth. LDN works in the education, culture, economy, social and health fields through the various strategic levels of Capacity Building, Social Marketing and Networking Practices, and provides Training, Consultancy and Program Development services. It endeavors to promote new paradigms for SMEs, Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship in collaboration with both the public and private sectors, and works as well on promoting the culture of democracy, human rights, dialogue and citizenship.
The Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (iED) is a Greek non-profit organisation committed to the promotion of innovation and the enhancement of the entrepreneurial spirit. Established in 2005, iED is a certified leading Center of Excellence in European entrepreneurship and a fast-growing Digital Innovation Hub, registered as member of the European Commission's catalogue of DIHs, that recognizes entrepreneurship as a crucial factor for the future of sustainable development and cohesion of societies. It conducts research and provides innovative solutions that facilitate the growth of entrepreneurship and promote employment. Our experience gave us a unique insight in the practical aspects on the implementation of large-scale co-funding projects, making us a strong and reliable European project partner and leader.
