The organizing committee of the Mid-Term Event of MYSEA Project - Mediterranean Youth, NEETs and Women Advancing Skills, Employment and Awareness in the Blue and Green Economy - held a preparation meeting at the campus of the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid, Jordan.
The committee is composed of two working groups. The JUST group is represented by Dr. Fahmi Abu Al-Rub, whereas the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) group is represented by Amin Nehme.
The first part of the meeting was dedicated to discuss the objectives of the event, the target audience, the agenda, the distribution of tasks as well as the logistics requirements.
The second part consisted of the communication and visibility plan, the promotional tools and the timeline.
At the end of the meeting, a follow up session was organized online with the central management team of the Lead Partner, the Development Information and Education Center (CIES) - Italy.
Mediterranean Youth, NEETs and Women Advancing Skills, Employment and Awareness in the Blue and Green Economy – MYSEA” is an EU-funded project under the ENI CBC MED Programme. It addresses the common challenges of the countries of the Euro-Mediterranean region affecting youth unemployment and the low participation of women in the labour market.
It aims at increasing the employability of youth, women and NEETs in the Agri-Food and Waste Management industries by developing training oriented to both sectors and strengthening local governance and sector-skills alliances between economic actors and TVET institutions to align the education curricula with the sector’s needs.
