In an initiative to explore strategic collaboration on the regional level, a delegation from the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) visited the Tunisian capital, Tunis to identify potential opportunities with ‘FACE Tunisie’ Foundation.
The delegation, comprised of the President of LDN Amin Nehme and the Secretary General Samer Aoun, held a meeting at the Foundation’s premises attended by its President Zahra Ben Nasr, Executive Director Rafik Barakizou and the team members.
The discussion covered a list of topics such as the pressing challenges facing the civil society in Tunisia, the unmet needs of the NGOs on the domestic and African levels, and the types of intervention required to bridge the gap.
The agenda consisted as well of a field trip to certain workshops and fairs pertaining to the projects implemented by ‘FACE’ and dedicated to the economic empowerment of women in rural areas.
The meeting triggered a broad-ranging cooperation scheme to be developed and articulated by both parties in the coming period.
