On December 14th and 15th, 2022, EBSOMED held its final workshop on the new challenges of cooperation in Cagliari, Italy. The event was organized by BUSINESSMED, OpenMed and ASCAME, and focused on the development of concrete proposals for the Interreg NEXT MED ENI CBC program.

The workshop was the final capacity-building event in a series of training programs on project development and management. The overall goal of these programs is to improve the ability of EU and MED BSOs to develop international cooperation projects in the Mediterranean by providing better information on funding opportunities and training on project development tools and methodologies.

The course was designed to improve the exchange of skills and relationships between BSOs interested in cooperation programs and projects. The idea behind it was to present and share the main skills and direct experiences related to Euro-Mediterranean projects and start the design of new project proposals that can be submitted under the new NEXT MED Interreg program 2021-2027.

The main objectives of the training were to improve the competencies and relationships of BSO executives interested in Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, to share Euro-Mediterranean project experiences among BSO executives and trainers, and to start designing concrete proposals under the new Euro-Mediterranean funding instruments.

Participants in the workshop engaged in interactive activities and group work, and received guidance and feedback from experienced trainers and program experts. The workshop also provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration, as participants had the chance to connect with peers from other organizations and countries.

Overall, the workshop was a valuable opportunity for BSO executives and project managers to gain a deeper understanding of the Interreg NEXT MED ENI CBC program and develop the skills and knowledge needed to successfully design and submit proposals for funding.
