Al-Hayat Center for Civil Society Development is a Jordanian civil society organization, independent, non-governmental and non-profit established in 2006 by the efforts of a group of young Jordanian civil activists.
It has as mission to achieve sustainable political and social development through building the capacity of local communities to meet current and future development challenges. We strive to enhance political life in Jordan within a framework of democratic principles, human rights and the rule of law through empowering positive attitudes and ethics that encourage creative thinking, problem solving and decision making, gender awareness, and proper public participation.
We do this with a focus inside as well as outside urban areas, including outreach to Badia areas and refugee camps.
As an organization that believes in equal opportunity, our work ensures gender balance in all activities and promote equality, equity, justice, rule of law, good governance, community service, and interfaith and intercultural dialogue on the individual and organizational levels.
