On July 18, 2024, the Resource Center for Gender Equality (ABAAD) launched the Awareness Training Program titled "Promoting Basic Life Skills for Women and Girls in Times of Crisis" during a ceremony held at the Gefinor Rotana Hotel – Clemenceau, Beirut.
LDN’s Project Assistant Yara El Hakim attended the event which gathered a number of key stakeholders involved in the various aspects of the Program.
The designated skills seek to provide a new and innovative tool directly linked to the complex crisis while addressing several emerging topics and needs imposed on the Lebanese families and communities.
In her intervention, Founder and Director of ABAAD, Ghida Anani, clarified about the content of the toolkit which includes 60 training sessions.
Anani explained that the seminars aim at empowering the participants to face the economic challenges, and enable them in return to start their own projects.
The Awareness Training Program is implemented in partnership with the Norwegian and the Netherlands Foreign Ministries, and the Norwegian Church Aid organization.
