On September 6th and 7th 2022, the partner organizations of ‘TOGETHER - Towards a Cultural Understanding of the Other’ got together in Corfu, Greece to celebrate the project’s closing multiplier event.

The conference took place under the title “Culture as Enabler of Intercultural Dialogue between Local Communities in EU and Partner Countries.” It was attended by a group of local officials, UNESCO representatives, stakeholders, practitioners as well as associated partners.

It was meant to present the final products of the project to the wider public including the Analysis Report, the Ambassadors’ Curriculum, the e-Toolbox and the Intercultural Dialogue Guidebook.

The agenda included several discussion points such as the presentation of the project’s goals, tasks, mutual experiences and the impact created in terms of strengthening the concept of intercultural dialogue.

The meeting concluded with the final Transnational Partners’ Meeting (TPM) during which the participants summarized the results of the project and discussed future plans.

‘TOGETHER’ is a two-year project that derives from the need to create the bonds, establish the appropriate awareness, and promote the common values vis-a-vis the intercultural dialogue between the EU and the neighbouring countries.

It mainly seeks to empower all sectors in society through building bridges between people, reinforcing mutual understanding, and boosting economic and social development to enable Europe and its neighbours face the common challenges, and achieve social cohesion and sustainability.

The Consortium is comprised of: CulturePolis – Greece, A.B. Institute of Entrepreneurship Development LTD (IED) – Cyprus, Eworx Ypiresies Ilektronikou Epicheirein Anonymos Etaireia (EWORX) – Greece, Fattoria Pugliese Diffusa Associazione Culturale (FPD) – Italy, Georgian Arts & Culture Center (GACC) – Georgia and the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) – Lebanon.
