On July 12th and 13th 2022, the partnering organizations of ‘READY Project - Raise Environmental Awareness for Deprived Youths’ got together in Brescia, Italy for the kick-off meeting.
The event provided an opportunity for the Steering Committee to confer about the various requirements pertaining to the best implementation of the project.
The first day was inaugurated by a welcome note provided by the Director of the Lead Partner organization ADL Zavidovici, Maddalena Alberti, followed by a joint presentation with Giovanni Lonati on EPIC project, READY project’s work packages, working groups, and an overview of the roles and tasks.
The second day was dedicated to discuss the financial management policies, the administrative procedures, the internal coordination as well as the technical management components in terms of tools, deliverables and timeline.
The program included a visit to the City of Brescia.
‘READY’ is an Erasmus+ funded project aiming at building the capacities of young people suffering from socio-economic marginalization. Through its 2 years of existence and its partnership extending over 7 countries around the Mediterranean Sea, the project will train 30 young people to become green ambassadors at the local level and indirectly engage more than 700 young people to assume the role of sustainability leaders in their communities. Consequently, the young beneficiaries will develop skills in campaign, project management, communication, advocacy, etc.
