In light of the 2022 European Year of Youth, the EDD Young Leaders programme will ensure that EU policies take youth into account by involving them in policy-making discussions.
11 young leaders of the Young Leaders programme will participate in the European Development Days (EDD) and influence decision-making by sharing their views and experiences with Heads of State or government, human rights activists, business and industry leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, representatives from non-governmental organisations and academics during the forum's high-level panels.
This year’s EDD on the overall theme of 'Global Gateway: building sustainable partnerships for a connected world' will host 90+ sessions, 90+ projects and numerous special events. Each EDD Young Leader is an expert of one of the 11 EDD topics that explore the five Global Gateway themes:
• Digital
• Climate and energy
• Transport
• Health
• Education and research
