Leading Voices, the brand new choral event in Utrecht (NL), has completed the programme! From 27-31 July professionals from the choral sector from all over Europe and beyond will get together to connect and get inspired by new music, projects and methods.

Leading Voices celebrates the possibility of getting together again and connecting with peers. This is made possible with an extensive programme with over 100 sessions by choral professionals from different genres and different fields. These professionals come from Europe and abroad and offer sessions for all conductors, music teachers, vocal leaders, composers, managers and creators. There is plenty of opportunity to meet new people, get inspired by peers and learn from new artistic concepts. A music market (EXPO) includes well known publishers.

LAB, LEARN, LET'S MEET
Five different formats challenge participants to get the best out of themselves. In the five LAB’s there is room for co-creation and experiment. In LEARN there are many interactive workshops and lectures with topics such as mindful leadership, managing professional singers, developing partnerships, identity building, singing with children, community choirs or transgender voices.
LET’S MEET offers a total of eleven round tables concerning the future of professional choirs, educating composers or conductors and about the role of vocal artists in society. This format also offers lounges to network and exchange.

LIVE: headline concerts
The event starts with an opening concert on Wednesday that will stage five different choirs from the Netherlands: including the Netherlands Chamber Choir and the ZO! Gospel Choir.
On three other evenings Leading Voices ends with two concerts by internationally renowned choirs and ensembles. The theatrical British I Fagiolini, led by Robert Hollingworth, and the vocal group Accent are performing on Thursday.
The Italian Cuncordu e Tenore de Orosei will perform traditional Sardinian songs on Friday. On this same evening Mikrokosmos from France will perform.
On Saturday prior to the official closing show, which is designed by Astrid Vang-Pedersen and Jim Daus Hjernøe, the famous Latvian Youth Choir Kamēr… gives a concert.
