Ms. Azar is an experienced consultant with a demonstrated history in the non-profit organization management industry where she serves currently as Committee Member of the National Human Rights Commission of Lebanon.
She acquired a Master's degree in International Affairs/International Conflict Resolution from the Lebanese American University (LAU) where she worked afterwards for more than eight years for a group of international organizations such as UNDP, ICRC and UNHCR.
She is a recognized specialist with a wide range of skills and abilities in Humanitarian Response, International Humanitarian Law (IHL), as well as the Non-Governmental Organizations’ capacity building field. She is an independent trainer in areas related to Project Management, Proposal Writing, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Verification Exercises.
She has worked in Lebanon, UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Algeria, South Sudan and Malian Borders where she obtained a global view and a practical knowledge of the various needs and challenges pertaining to each and every context.
Azar has an extensive experience in different developmental working environments which enabled her expand her understanding of the specificities of the various communities that she served. She has recently embarked on the social entrepreneurship domain aiming at reflecting its positive traits through dynamism, innovation and professionalism. Ms. Azar is a Senior Consultant at the Lebanese Development Network (LDN).
