Project Coordinator for EU Funded Project

Purpose of the Position:
The Project Coordinator will safeguard and monitor day-to-day operational progress on the project objectives, deliverables and milestones. He/She is required to oversee, coordinate and ensure that all aspects and activities related to the project are implemented in a timely and efficiently manner according to the agreed Guidelines, Work Plan, Standards and Budget, and consequently report to the Management on project status.

Tasks & Responsibilities
•    Formulate the country strategy in coordination with the Project’s management;
•    Work closely, build positive relationships and keep regular contact with partner organizations;
•    Plan, coordinate and implement project’s activities and safeguard compliance with the agreement during the course of the project;
•    Review project documents, ensure adequate reporting and sharing information with partners and stakeholders;
•    Ensure a functional project documentation, reporting and M&E system;

Experience & Skills
•    Knowledge of EU procedures, rules and regulations;
•    5+ years of demonstrated experience in coordination and management of large EU funded projects including complex activity schedules with a variety of stakeholders;
•   At least three (3) years experience at national and/or international level in the area of capacity building and/or development;
•    Ability to work with diverse groups and to cope with multi-cultural environment;
•    Effectively manage time and handle multiple assignments;
•    Proven ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.

Education & Qualifications
•    Masters degree in a relevant field;
•    Fluent in English in both verbally and in written (Good command of French is a plus);
•    Excellent computer literacy and skills;
•    Strong organizational and communicational skills;
•    Good Presentation and organizational skills.
